Xoloitzcuintli (cholo-its-QUEENT-lee) dogs come in at 3rd place on our ugly dog list, and for good reason! Their bald and wrinkly skin can strike a shock in some people. However, their appearance has made them stand out and become a much loved cultural icon. You can see Xoloitzcuintlis depicted in the Disney/Pixar movie Coco, paintings and murals by Frida Khalo and Diego Rivera, and they are the mascot for Club Tijuana, a professional soccer team. 2. Bull Terrier
Anyone who has seen a Target advertisement will know the face of the Bull Terrier. Smooth, short hair and a head like a football or an egg, bull terriers are well known for rodent control. They were previously were used in blood sports, specifically known as “bull baiting” when they were let on a bull and people bet on the winner. 1. Chinese Crested Dog
The Chinese Crested Dog comes with or without hair, but either way it has been considered the ugliest dog breed. This dog can come in two coat varieties, hairless and “Powderpuff”. Hairless coats are just what it sounds like – bald patches and minimal areas of hair on their head and feet. Powderpuff varieties are fully coated, but owners may groom them with a distinct styles.
