Dogs have 42 permanent teeth, and that is 10 more than humans! Puppies start to grow their puppy teeth about 3-4 weeks after birth. By 3-5 months, dogs will grow 20 puppy teeth. Just like humans, these puppy teeth will fall out and permanent teeth will take their place when puppies are between 3-7 months old.
How Many of Each Kind of Tooth Do Dogs Have?
